Product Description

    Diamond composite sheets are made by sintering diamond micropowders with a hard alloy matrix under ultra-high pressure and temperature. They possess the high hardness, wear resistance, thermal conductivity of diamond, as well as the strength and impact resistance of hard alloy. They are ideal materials for manufacturing cutting tools, drilling bits, and other wear-resistant tools. It has been widely used in industries such as oil drilling, geological exploration, coal mining drill bits, and mechanical processing tools.

The 1313 high wear resistance PDC cutters are 13.13mm diameter diamond composite inserts with enhanced diamond layer properties for extended service life in abrasive coal mining formations. 

Diamond layer thickness: 2-2.2mm.

The finer diamond grit structure and higher diamond concentration give these cutters superior resistance to the abrasive wear caused by quartz and silica particles present in many coal measure rock formations.

The high wear resistance specification addresses the primary failure mode of PDC cutters in coal mining: abrasive wear from quartz partings, silica cement, and hard stone bands that grind down the diamond layer faster than the cutter can cut. The 2.2mm diamond layer also provides a longer wear path before substrate exposure.

For coal mines operating in seams with continuous quartz or silica partings, the 1313 high wear resistance cutter reduces bit change frequency and per-meter drilling cost. The practical benefit is measurable: in seams with 15-25% quartz content in the roof and floor strata, standard cutters on a 94mm three-wing bit typically last 200-300m before wear flats develop that stall penetration. The 1313 high wear cutter extends this to 400-550m, effectively doubling bit life between changes. Each eliminated bit change saves 30-45 minutes of rig downtime for rod tripping plus bit replacement handling. 

Evidence (Field Proven Results)

A coal mine in Romania with seams containing 18-22% quartz in the immediate roof strata (40-55 MPa) switched from standard 1308 cutters to SUNGOOD TECH 1313 high wear resistance cutters on their 94mm three-wing mining bits. Over a 4-month evaluation period: average bit life increased from 245m to 480m, a 96% improvement. Penetration rate at end of bit life was 1.8 m/min for 1313 cutters versus 0.6 m/min for standard cutters that had developed severe wear flats.
