The 1308 and 1313 tail (button) diamond PDC cutters are specialized diamond composite inserts manufactured with an extended diamond layer that wraps partially around the cutter periphery (the "tail" section), specifically for chain saw cutting machine applications in mining and construction. Two sizes are available: 1308 (13.08mm diameter) and 1313 (13.13mm diameter). Diamond layer thickness on the working face: 2.0mm. Tail diamond extension: covers 120 degrees of the cutter circumference, extending 1.5mm down the side wall.
Substrate: tungsten carbide with 6%-8% cobalt. Hardness: HRA >80. The tail diamond provides secondary cutting capability on the cutter side surface, which contacts the rock face during the lateral cutting motion of chain saw machines.
