Feature (Product Specifications)
The 5 inch (127mm) five-wing matrix body PDC drill bit places 1308 series PDC cutters (8mm) across five short-profile blades in a single-row layout with optional cheek cutters. Total face cutters: 20-25. The compact matrix body at 35 HRC handles the higher stress concentration inherent in small-diameter bits. Crown profile: shallow-cone with 15-degree inner cone angle. API pin connection: 2-3/8 REG. Jet nozzles: 3 fixed nozzles, TFA 0.20-0.35 sq.in.

Advantage (Performance Advantages)
Five short blades with 8mm cutters keep the cutting structure dense even at 127mm diameter, where blade spacing is inherently tight. The shallow-cone profile resists whirl in small-hole applications. Matrix body absorbs impact from harder stringers that would chip cutters on steel body bits at this diameter. The single-row layout simplifies junk-slot clearance in the limited annular space.
Benefit (Product value)
For directional drilling and sidetracking operations in 5-inch boreholes, this bit maintains consistent ROP of 4-8 m/hr in soft-medium formations. The dense cutting structure handles interbedded sequences without tripping. Bit life of 400-600m per run in typical directional well profiles reduces trips in narrow-hole sections where tripping time is disproportionately expensive.
Evidence (Field Proven Results)
A directional drilling service company in the Shengli Oilfield used the SUNGOOD TECH 5-inch five-wing matrix bit for a sidetrack operation through 2,100m of interbedded sandstone and shale. The bit completed the 450m section in one run at 6.2 m/hr average ROP, with deviation held within 1.5 degrees per 30m. The previous four-wing steel bit required two trips for the same interval.

PDC drills used for
1. Gas drainage hole drilling,
2. Deep hole.
3. Grouting hole drilling.
4. Geological exploration hole drilling.
5. Applicable rock formation: f ≥12.
The high-strength diamond drill bit blade adopts the latest developed spherical diamond blade, characterized by fast drilling speed and strong impact resistance. When the drill bit is drilling, the lip is used for scraping the normal and uniform formation rock, and the protruding part can suppress the sudden large footage when the drill bit encounters gaps during the drilling process, greatly reducing the accidental damage of the drill bit and improving the drilling level to deal with complex rock formations.
